First year students of the Associate Degree Engineering education of the Hogeschool Utrecht got the object to visit a company. The goal was to get to know as much as possible about industrial automation.
And it was a great succes! After a short presentation about Gibas and practical examples, the students have experienced our daily work. In our workshop they have seen some projects being build-up and had some good questions. After this, we went to our Experience Hub to show demonstrations of Universal Robots and Mobile Industrial Robots.
After this, they tried to program a cobot of Universal Robots. Despite the fact that they had no experience with programming, they manage to succeed a good working pick & place program. Besides the explenation about industrial automation, they also have hands-on experience. In short: it was a succesfull day!
