In the previous situation the woordworking process at Schilte was done by different machines. This is now combined and done by one CNC-machine. However, this way the production time was increased, so Schilte was looking for a solution so the employers don’t have to tend the machine anymore. Schilte was thinking to use a cobot for this, and so they came in contact with Gibas.
One of the benefits of the Universal Robots is it can operate by itself, so the employers can do other tasks within the company. For the case at Schilte, it means an employer don’t have to tend the machine so he can do other tasks in the company.
